A safe and exciting environment for children
to learn and grow

La Casita offers bilingual Spanish-English childcare (Ofsted registered) for children aged between 4 months and 5 years. Since 2009, happy pre-school children have enjoyed a wide range of fun activities in a vibrant, stimulating atmosphere.

We are open Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm and accept Early Years Education Entitlement (EYEE), so you can claim up to 15 hours per week once your child reaches the age of three. We also take a range of work place vouchers.

La CasitaQualified, experienced staff follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), providing children with complete and varied educational and physical programmes in a safe, caring, nurturing and stimulating environment.

At La Casita, we understand the need for routine and balance. Every child at La Casita benefits from a range of guided activities, group games, creative and one-to one time as well as outdoor activities, free play and relaxation. Children have free access between the rooms and gardens, allowing them to become more independent and take part in activities of interest them.

We also host regular outings to help children expand their learning through enjoyable, educational experiences. Most outings and extra activities are included in the fees. An in-house library of books, music and learning aids are available to borrow free of charge.

Although we follow a Spanish language programme, we also make sure that children who are starting Reception the following September are proficient in English.

Investors in Children’

In 2011 we joined Quality Improvement in Learning and Teaching (QuILT), a government-supported training programme designed to improve the quality of childcare and education. This gives us the opportunity to reflect and assess the quality of childcare and education based on the National Standards. It also allows us to build on our excellent methods and practices, giving parents, staff and children an even better experience. Completion of the scheme will give us the prestigious endorsement of ‘Investors in Children’

QuILT Modules

There are nine modules in QuILT and La Casita has already passed three with ‘credit’ grading. This is another example of our ongoing commitment to offering the highest levels of childcare and education.

La Casita FacilitiesLa Casita operates from a lovely detached bungalow with three separate rooms and plenty of natural sun light. There is an area for crafts and messy activities, and a space where children can relax whenever they like. Outside we have two separate garden areas for children in different developmental stages, including a climbing frame, sandpit, water facilities and a vegetable patch.
