Introduction
La Casita is a bilingual childcare setting in
Hove, East Sussex providing quality early education in Spanish & English
for children aged 0-5 years old.
All staff are experienced qualified Spanish
natives and fully OFSTED registered.
Children will be immersed in the Spanish
language, with activities designed to develop their vocabulary and
communication skills.
Children who are due to start Reception the
following September, will also be supported to develop their communication,
language and literacy skills in English in preparation for school.
Families will be offered lists of vocabulary, CDs,
books, and other resources to take home in order to support and help their
child’s Spanish language development.
The setting
La Casita operates from a secure detached bungalow
with three separate rooms and two well equipped garden areas for children
at different developmental stages.
Children have access to a climbing frame,
trampoline, sand and water facilities and a crawling park for the little
ones.
The bungalow has three separate rooms: one for
literacy and numeracy, another one for arts & crafts and a sensory room
that doubles up as a cosy space for children to chill out and relax.

Fees are to be paid according to sessions booked,
monthly in advance, on the

The setting
will be closed on Bank Holidays and during the following
dates:
Easter :
From Thurs 1st April
to Fri 16th April 2010
(both incl.)
Summer : From 19th July to 3rd September 2010
(both incl.)
Christmas
: From 20th December 2010
to 3rd January 2011
If you need childcare for these dates, we are
happy to help you liaise with
local childminders/nurseries for cover, but their own fees will apply and
we cannot guarantee that places will be available.
Routine
A typical day at “La Casita” will include a varied
and wide range of activities for children to enjoy.
We believe in a good balance, so all children,
regardless of their developmental stage, will benefit from guided
activities, group games, creative time, one to one time, free play and time
to relax every day.
We follow educational and physical programmes,
adequate to each child’s individual needs and requirements, delivered in a
caring environment.
All children, including babies, will have access
to indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the day.
We will have regular outings, so children can
expand their learning through enjoyable yet educational experiences.
Outings and extra activities
Most outings and extra activities are included within
the fees. You will receive a detailed letter if an activity at an extra
cost is planned on a specific day, so you can decide if you wish for your
child to attend (i.e. an outing to a farm).
Terms and Conditions
Fees are to be paid monthly in advance, on the 1st
day of each month, by cheque or BACS.
Fees must be paid even if your child is absent due
to illness or holiday.
Children with a contagious disease or who run a
temperature should not be attending (see Health policy). Charges will still
apply.
Breakfast and all snacks are included in the
fees. Please provide your own pack
lunch (unless agreed otherwise).
Nappies
and baby wipes are not included within the fees. Please provide a packet at
your child’s first session.
Booking a place at La Casita
To book a place at La Casita, please complete booking form and send together with your
deposit to La Casita, 43 Lawrence Road, Hove BN3 5QE.
Two weeks deposit is required to reserve your
child’s place.
Deposit will be fully returned at the end of your
contractual time with us (when leaving), providing there are no monies
outstanding.
We will confirm availability for the sessions
requested. Should you decide to cancel your booking once availability is confirmed,
the full deposit will be forfeited.
Policies
Our priority is the happiness and safety of all
children in our care. For that reason, copies of the policies and
procedures will always be available on request.
